On-boarding of WWEPC for Issuance of Certificate of Origin (Non Preferential) on the Trade Connect Platform

The Directorate General of Foreign Trade (DGFT), Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India has issued Trade Notice No. 13/2024-25 dated 16th August, 2024, announcing the launch of the revamped Non-Preferential Certificate of Origin (eCoO) 2.0 system. The upgraded eCoO 2.0 platform aims to streamline and digitize the process of obtaining Non-Preferential Certificates of Origin (CoOs), offering enhanced features and a significantly improved user experience.

Key Features of eCoO 2.0:

  • Multi-User Access: Exporters can authorize multiple users under a single IEC.
  • E-Signature Facility: Option to electronically sign using Aadhaar in addition to Digital Signature Certificates (DSC).
  • Integrated Dashboard: Unified access to CoO filing, FTA information, trade events, and more.
  • E-Wallet Facility: A dedicated wallet for seamless and secure transactions.

Steps for Exporters to Access eCoO 2.0 System:

  • Existing Users: Exporters already registered on the DGFT portal (https://www.dgft.gov.in) can use their existing login credentials to access the eCoO 2.0 system.
  • New Users: Exporters not yet registered must first register on the DGFT portal and ensure their email is linked to their IEC.
